The school of Turf Science at UConn came to me because they wanted to create a tool where novices could calculate fertilizer amounts to treat their lawn and professionals could use to experiment and track multiple locations.

The goal of the landing page was to provide the necessary information to learn about fertilizer and start making calculations that could be applied to your yard or space.

The unique approach for implementing this app was to use Flutter to compile the one code base down to native iOS and Android. The UI components used with Flutter are the Material Design components.

Calibrating had to be easy to understand so by allowing users to select their spreader first then providing specific details on calculations and calibration within the context of their spreader it gave users a clear and relevant path forward. A card based system was used to track experimental calculations and once the user wanted to save the calculation to their records they could easily move them and retain them for years to come.
